Tests the speed of your hard drive during every day situations like copying directories, files and reading data.
Disk Bench is a freeware hard disk tester app and benchmarker developed by Nodesoft for Windows. It's easy to setup, well-designed and efficient.
The download has been tested by an editor here on a PC and a list of features has been compiled; see below. We've also created some screenshots of Disk Bench to illustrate the user interface and show the overall usage and features of this hard disk testing program.
Tests the speed of your hard drive during every day situations
Disk Bench will test your hard drive speed in a real life situation not in a benchmarking environment.
All Disk Bench does is copies a file from A to B, times the time it took, and deletes the file from B again.
The other way to benchmark is to choose Create File. This way it just creates a file (consisting of a repeated 128 byte string). So if you only have one harddisk, this is the optimal test for you.
Features of Disk Bench
